Manali
Manali is a popular holiday destination among tourists. It is favorite destination for honeymoon couples because of its natural beauty, open spaces, dense forests and snow capped mountains. Manali is named after the sanatan Hindu lawgiver “Manu”. The name Manali means “Manu alaya “ which literally means “Abode of Manu “. There are lots of Temples and Monasteries that are tourists attractions in Manali. Hadimba temple is famous temple in Manali. It is an ancient Temple dedicated to Hidimbi Devi ,wife of Bhima , in Indian epic Mahabharata. The temple dates back to 1553 and is famous for its four storeys Pagoda and exquisite architecture. Malana
Malana is an ancient beautiful Indian village in Himachal Pradesh. This solitary village in the Malana Nala, a side valley of the Parvati Valley is isolated from the rest of the world. According to legends, Jamlu rishi (sage) inhabited this place and made rules and regulations. Malana is also famous for its unique social structure and lifestyle. The social structure of Malana rests on villagers unshakable faith in their powerful Deity “Jamblu Devta “. The entire administration of the village is controlled by him through a village council. People of Malana are very strict I following their customs and laws. Chandratal Lake
Chandra tal lake is a beautiful glacier lake situated in the Spiti part of Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh. It is fed by Chandra glacier. It has crystal clear and deep blue waters with meadows full of attractive wild flowers. The name Chandra tal (Lake of the Moon ) comes from its crescent shape. Legend says that it is the same place where God Indra’s chariot picked up Yudhishthira ,eldest of Pandavas brothers and thus makes this place holy for Hindu devotees. This is also favorite destination of campers and trekkers. The water of the lake keeps on changing from reddish to orange and then green and blue as the day sets. Dharmashala
Dharmashala is a wonderful magnificent hill station located in the Kangra valley of Himachal Pradesh. The great Tibetan leader Dalai Lama lives here which makes it very famous place. Here you can find many Monasteries and many Buddhist nuns and monks lives here. This scenic and picturesque hill station attracts visitors from all over the country as its natural beauty consists of thick Deodar cedar trees, snow-covered mountains and beautiful locations. Manikaran
Manikaran is a pilgrimage center for Hindus and Sikhs , it attracts people from all over the country to its Pilgrimage centers and Hot springs.Manikaran is located in the Parvati valley along the banks of river Parvati, north east of Bhuntar in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh.Its Hot springs are famous , one can cook rice in it, people also bath in supply of hot water which has spiritual and medicinal value. It is believed that the location of Manikaran Gurudwara Sahib is the exact meditative spot of Guru Nanak Dev ji.
Mc Leodganj
Mcleodganj is famous for large population of Tibetans.It is one of the most popular places in Dharmashala ,situated in Kangra district. It is also known as “Little Lhasa “ because of frequency of Tibetan population.You can get the glimpses of Tibetan culture very closely through Tibetan markets, Tibetan clothes, Tibetan gardens and Tibetan restaurant which serves Tibetan food. If you like peace and serenity then Mc leodganj is definitely among the best place to visit in Himachal pradesh during May and June.
