About the place
Scenic view of Trilokinath village |
Rohtang pass |
The temple is sacred to Hindus as well as Buddhist pilgrims. The white painted walls and the classic construction of the temple is mesmerizing. Different people have different stories, different beliefs about the place. The place also witnesses a festival in August named “Pauri” in which sadhus and pilgrims from both Hindu as well as Buddhist religion gather for the blessings of Shri Trilokinath. This temple is situated in the midst of village surrounded by the array of majestic mountains on all four sides, which makes it heaven for the photographers.

Pillars of truth
When you enter the sacred shrine. You will see 2 pillars next to the shrine entry which are said to be as “the pillars of truth”. It is believed that a person with a pure heart can only cross these pillars, he or she may be fat or thin it doesn’t matter at all. This is the beauty of this temple. If you visit, you must try it. The best part about trilokinath temple is the secularism which we can see in this place.

Must do
1.After crossing Rohtang pass and reaching Khoksar one should stop and have some rice with meat. Yes, this is a must do thing according to me, crossing Rohtang is quiet a hectic job especially driving down the slope.
Tiredness vanishes when this famous food of Khoksar enters your stomach.
2.Sissu is a beautiful station, which is famous for its lake and Sissu fall. Hence, one should try to go for some off-road as well as offbeat to admire the place.
3.The last thing which I think is the most important is that your cameras should be fully charged because the rawness of the nature that you are going to witness will become part of your special memory.
